There Will be no Lake of the Woods Tour for 2009
2009, with our move back to Cloquet is a rebuilding year.  Hopefully we will be able to continue the Lake of the Woods tour in future years.

Passports -  Next year, in 2009 the U.S. government will require every U.S. citizen to have a valid passport to re-enter the country.  In 2007 this ruling only applies to air travelers and not to those riding motorcycles across the borders.  To prepare for next year visit:

Matrix Trailers  will still be giving us a Cargo Trailer, we've had it custom painted, and every participant in the 2007 Tours will be given a ticket and we will draw for it at the riders meeting the day of departure amongst the participants. We will get photos of it up on the Web site soon. Odds of winning will go way, way up as there will be a lot less competition.

Photos 2003 Tours and Rally

For several years we searched for a motorcycle tour worthy of inclusion in the Wolf's Head Motorcycle Tour and Rally.  At the end of 2002 we found such a tour and ran it for the first time in 2003.  2007 will be the fifth annual tour.  It is an approximately 1,100 mile run around the Lake of the Woods in Northern Minnesota and Canada.  This tour adds a new dimension to Wolf's Head.  It is a ride not only for touring people but, also for the dual sport riders, with unpaved adventure rides along the route for those who choose to do them.  This ride has the some of the same advantages as our Lake Superior Circle Tour, bandana, prize drawings and plenty of beautiful scenery for everyone.  Each person who completes the ride will receive a Lake of the Woods Adventure Tour patch and numbered buckle, numbered certificate of completion, posting of their name and certificate number on the web site and tons of memories.

There will be an entirely paved highway route for those with street bikes and an "Adventure" route which will include dirt roads, logging trails and non-maintained forest roads as well as paved sections for dual-purpose and "Adventure" bikes.
